Today is as good as any to talk about what's up with me. I guess. I'm pretty bummed about the news of Jeff Wiener leaving Yahoo. Jeff is a terrific person and I was hoping he'd take over as CEO. No matter how unrealistic that sounds. I've had a great relationship with Jeff and know that he can do anything he sets his mind to. As far as Jeremy is concerned, it doesn't shock me. Havi and I talked about it after Matt left. We figured it was just a matter of time. I wish him all the best and hope our paths cross again.
Yesterday was my first day at Yahoo! Travel. That might surprise some of you. But The people there are awesome and it's right next door to my friends in Yahoo! Shopping. After a year at Brickhouse, I felt it was time that I worked on a product. I like to work on products. I like to get my hands dirty.
The other good news is that this allows me to work on a side project called 12seconds. 12seconds is a video status platform. You can record 12 seconds of video with your webcam or cell phone and share it with your friends and family. Yes... it's like video Twitter. More so than Seesmic methinks. I'll write more about it soon, now that I can. Right now it's just a project. I get to do product stuff and design. But who knows where it will lead? We're just a few nerds from Santa Cruz trying to make something cool. Again more to come very soon. If you want an invite, let me know. I'll hook you up.
