The Tab Is Dead, Long Live The Tab

Amazon is testing a new design that disposes of the tab navigation system. Frankly it's about time. I know, I love tabs; but with Amazon, there hasn't been a serious need for them for years. It was great when they had a few categories, but that quickly got out of hand as they grew. So they resorted to a tab look that didn't really function the way tabs should. I like the prominent search bar and the larg buttons for lists and your cart. I also like the personalization placement. This is a good step, no matter how boring it looks.
