Back to Beck.
I can't say enough about how great hack day is. If you want to understand where the medium is going and who is leading the way, look no further than Yahoo Hack Day. It takes balls to do this. And Yahoo! has 'em. OO!
Everything clicked yesterday. It was so smooth. Registration was quick, the wireless worked, the right people were there, there was plenty of help, the speakers and the panels were excellent, there was enough food and beer for everyone and then some, the lawn was dry for camping, and Beck blew doors.
What can you say? This was put together in a manner of weeks. I remember seeing Bradley at the Techcrunch party and he said that they were starting to plan this. But who could have imagined the outcome?
One thing's for sure, if they are ever allowed to do this again, then it will be hard to top.
The best part of the evening for me was seeing Beck with my daughter Audrey. Jane, Isaac, and Audrey came over for the show. The puppets freaked Isaac out, but Audrey stayed the whole time.
The smile on her face was priceless. She was thrilled. It was her first concert and to see her clap and scream was so cool. I can't think of a much better first concert for someone than Beck at Yahoo! Hack Day.

I hated to miss it and think you are right on. Yahoo's doing the future ... now. Good for them.
